Upon arrival the patient will fill out all required paperwork, if not having already done so online. Our doctor will then review the case and meet with the patient. The doctor will perform all required exams to determine the treatment including, but not limited to orthopedic and neurological tests, as well as X-rays when appropriate.
After a thorough examination
After a thorough examination review of a patient’s health history, the doctor will recommend a specific care program for the individual’s case type. The treatment will include specific spinal adjustments, rehabilitative exercises and nutritional recommendations.
The word adjustment
The word adjustment describes one of many techniques, which utilize carefully directed and controlled pressure to restore spinal bones to a more normal position and motion. When spinal function is improved, nervous system function (health) can improve too. After years of training, Doctors of Chiropractic become experts at using just the right amount of force in the proper direction to restore normal bone position.
The next visit
The next visit he/she will be given their report of findings (ROF), which is when the doctor will explain the results of the tests and x-rays that were performed, whether or not we can help, the proper care that will be required, and what it will cost.
After the ROF
After the ROF the patient will perform their specific active/passive warm-up to help relax and loosen the muscles prior to the adjustment. After the adjustment, the patient will complete their active/passive rehabilitation. Additional instructions about nutrition and at home exercises will also be given.
